Resolute is honored to welcome Masters At Work for a very special extended DJ set in Brooklyn on April 20, 2024. Masters At Work is the iconic Nuyorican house music duo consisting of “Little” Louie Vega & Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez. Masters At Work have earned a long list of accolades in the dance music scene. Between the two producers they boast thousands of music credits and appearances They have earned 7 Grammy nominations, including one win, and are respected in the industry as some of the greatest to ever do it. They have produced remixes for the likes of Madonna, Donna Summer, Jamiroquai, and Deee-Lite (to name just a few) and produced hits like ‘Deep Inside’ through their alias Hardrive and "The Bomb" by their alias Bucketheads. They all have an extensive catalog released through their storied ‘Nuyorican Soul’ project, which saw them collaborate with many of the world’s most legendary artists like George Benson, Roy Ayers, Tito Puente, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jocelyn Brown,Vincent Montana Jr., Salsoul Orchestra, and India. 

 One can argue that Masters at Work are the kings of the four on the floor sounds, mixing their style with all things Latin, Afro, Jazz, Brazilian, Gospel, and of course, the underground New York sound. Now in the studio producing an album for Brian Jackson (musical partner of Gil Scott Heron), new Masters At Work and Nuyorican soul albums in the works, with an all star cast of talent on leads. Plus, be on the lookout for the upcoming MAW Lost Tapes series which will feature never released material from their 2" tapes in storage over 27 years. The series will feature 13 releases to date scheduled through to December 2025 and fresh new Masters At Work music the first one slated for April 19, 2024 on Maw Records, Masters At Work are ready with an arsenal of music you've never heard before along with some classic favorites! 

 After 16+ years in the game, ReSolute is following in our tradition of booking some of dance musics most legendary names like Andrew Weatherhall (RIP), Black Coffee, Get Perlonized!, and DJ Harvey. Next on the list are these two treasured gems. The Masters are very selective with where and how many gigs they take each year, and with their last appearance in NYC several years ago, this is bound to be a historical moment for New York City’s underground dance music scene. 

 The night will begin at 9pm featuring a very special opening by Love Injection b2b Toribio.
